Odle Motorsports Press Release
Xenia, Ohio
May 13, 2006
Even the rain couldn't keep a top-five finish from L.W., the Odle
Motorsports team and the Speedco #46 Ford. When Friday's race
in Xenia was pushed back to Saturday, the starting positions were
determined by the current point standings. After a short but
encouraging practice session, L.W. started the race in 7th.
From there he was able to move forward in the pack, reaching 5th
place before hitting the pits at lap 50 for four new tires.
L.W. held this position until lap 150, when several other cars
visited the pits, creating the opportunity for L.W. to move the
Speedco Ford into the lead. He remained in the lead for 40
laps before the rain delay stopped the action. After the
delay, L.W. was able to stay in the top five, crossing the finish
line in 4th place.
This week's outstanding performance moves L.W. into 6th in the
points standings and sets him up for a strong showing in Jennerstown,
Pennsylvania, on May 27. The Odle team has a good set of notes
on how to handle the Jennerstown race. It was there that Joe
Gaita and the Odle team took first place last year.
