Strong Showing at Indianapolis Raceway Park

L.W. had never driven on the track at Indianapolis Raceway Park before Saturday.  Heading into qualifying, he and the Odle Motorsports team knew that it would take a while to learn the track.  After starting the race in 26th position, L.W. began steadily moving the Speedco #46 Ford forward.

As he began to feel more comfortable with the track, he accelerated his progress.  The pit crew stepped up and contributed with a stop that moved L.W. four spots closer to the front of the pack.  With driver, car and crew performing well, the stage was set for a strong finish.  L.W. finished the race in 6th place.  He enters next Friday's race at Lake Erie at 9th place in the point standings.

Also racing for Odle Motorsports at IRP Saturday was Brian Ross.  Brian drove the #45 Speedco car, which blew an engine during practice.  The crew was able to replace the engine in time for Brian to qualify 25th.  The new engine and Brian's knowledge of the track enabled him to pull off an 11th place finish.
