Odle Motorsports - Mansfield

A second place finish at Mansfield, OH this past weekend secured a strong second place standing in points for the 2006 Hooters Pro Cup Championship for Shelby Howard and the Tony Stewart Racing team!

Qualifying second put Shelby Howard and the #20 Speedco/Tony Stewart Racing car at the front of the pack for the beginning of a lucky race for Shelby at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway.  As Shelby was making his way through traffic on lap 64 his right-front fender was damaged causing a lengthy pit stop as the pit crew raced to pull the fender out.

Shelby was quick to reclaim his position in the top five and moved into second place on lap 142.  The next laps were spent battling Clay Rogers for first place position and battling with cautions which slowed the race down considerably.

We would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Speedco for having their Orange County Speedco Chopper at the race for all the race fans to enjoy and we hope to bring another fantastic finish at Myrtle Beach Speedway on October 28th for our fourth race of the Championship Series!
